Eyewitness News
SUNSET PARK (WABC) -- A home health aide was charged with killing the 67-year-old woman she was supposed to be caring for in her Sunset Park, Brooklyn, apartment.
Neighbors say the aide, 35-year-old Yamilette Hidalgo, had an ongoing dispute with her victim, Maria Torres.
"The home health aide was in the hallway, yelling in the hallway," Sharon Williams said.
Polie say the dispute escalated when Hidalgo assaulted the frail woman inside her apartment on 50th Street Wednesday morning.

Torres fell during the dispute and was killed.
She suffered a head wound, although an autopsy will determine the official cause of death.
"Her shirt was ripped. She had cuts, like bleeding all over herself. This was the home health aide," one resident explained. "I see the body. I went to take a pulse and I noticed that she wasn't alive."
Hidalgo told responding police that she and Torres were assaulted during a push-in robbery, but detectives never believed her story.
The aide was charged with murder.
Torres lived alone, had medical problems and needed frequent visits from the aide.
"She's quiet, very nice, gets along with everybody. It's why it's a real shock for that to happen to her," Andrew Rosado said.
