Nimble-toed dancers from the Metropolitan Repertory Ballet Company soared skyward, wowing the crowd with a poised performance at the Block Institute.
The ethereal troupe – led by world-famous ballerina and Artistic Director Leonora Volpe – commanded the stage at the 45-year-old school for developmentally disabled youngsters, where it put forth a delightful production designed to acquaint children with the joys of classical dance.
The visit was coordinated by the 86th Street Kiwanis Club/Bath Beach and the 86th Street Merchants Association.
