Support funding for transitioning out of Nursing Homes!

Act Now: Tell CMS to Create Fund to Transition PWDs out of Nursing Homes!
CMS is asking for comments by Wednesday, August 11, 2010 to a proposed rule (42 CFR Part 488) related to money from civil penalties for nursing homes under the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
The proposed rule creates an opportunity to make changes within the current system. CIDNY urges CMS to use these civil penalty funds to form a transition fund.
Take Action! Submit your comments electronically:
1. Write comments, including the name and description of your organization.
2. Save them in a document with the rule reference number: CMS2435P.
3. Include your organization name and contact information at the end of the comments.
4. If possible (but not necessary), place comments on your letterhead with an electronic signature.

a) Complete all required information on the submission page and
b) attach your comments as a PDF or Word file using the “Attach a file” function on the page.
