Governor Paterson has a second chance to sign the Poll Site Access Bill
The bill requiring polling places to be accessible to physically disabled voters has passed the Assembly (A10946) and Senate (S7860) and awaits action by the Governor. Disability advocates throughout New York State have sent Governor Paterson letters urging him to sign the bill into law. Read CIDNY’s Memo to the Governor discrediting the arguments that gave rise to last year’s veto of the bill. Please call the Governor’s office at (518) 474-8390 to express your support for the bill.
