OPWDD Seeks Parents/Caregiver Input on Autism Survey
The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is inviting all parents and caregivers of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders to take part in a brief survey which will help the agency to better understand the “barriers and bridges” that people experience when seeking evaluation services for their family members.
The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Clinical Practice Guidelines survey is part of a larger project being conducted by OPWDD. The survey consists of nine questions, and will take approximately 10 minutes to finish. The answers are based on the parents’ or caregivers’ experiences with the evaluation process. Responses are anonymous, and will only be used as parent/caregiver input. Responses accepted until Dec. 3, 2010.
To take the survey, go to http://www.omr.state.ny.us/nyacts/ or

For questions about the survey or the ASD Clinical Practice Guidelines project, contact Ann Troy, Ph.D., Chief Psychologist, 518-474-6906.
