9 a.m. The Jewish Association for Services for the Aged will host a "JASA Volunteer Ventures Expo: The Best Volunteer Opportunities for Your Second Act" at the UJA-Federation of New York, 130 East 59th Street.

11:30 a.m. Council member Bill de Blasio and Public Advocate Betsy Gotbaum will announce recommendations to improve adult protective services on the City Hall steps.

Noon. Mental health and legal rights advocates will urge the governor to pass legislation to end solitary confinement of prisoners with psychiatric disabilities outside 633 Third Avenue, between 40th and 41st streets.

5:30 p.m. The State Commissioner of Health will keynote the 6th Annual Conference on Urban Health at the Helmsley Park Lane Hotel, 36 Central Park South at 59th Street.
