STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A couple who originally harbored a "not-in-my-back-yard mentality" about having a community residence for disabled men next door to their Annadale home was honored last night by the Association for the Help of Retarded Children with its first-ever "Good Neighbor Award," during a ceremony at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Manhattan.
