A presentation of fur fashions by L'Furs of New Dorp will be included in the evening's proceedings.

The fund-raiser benefits developmentally disabled and neurologically impaired infants, children and adults served by the Pouch Center, 657 Castleton Ave., West Brighton, a division of the Staten Island Mental Health Society (SIMHS).

Doors open at the event at 6:45 p.m. to permit guests to preview an impressive array of Chinese Auction prizes, including theme baskets, crystal, china, artwork, furniture, furs, decorative pieces, and gift certificates.

Rodriguez lent his soaring voice and patriotic spirit to New Yorkers after the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, 2001, with his stirring renditions of "God Bless America" and other songs.

He currently travels throughout the country singing at charitable events, including the USO, City of Hope, and law enforcement organizations, where he not only entertains but inspires people who are facing adversity.

Founded in 1975, The Women's Auxiliary raises funds to help support the programs of the Pouch Center. The Center provides clinical outpatient services, evaluation, treatment and advocacy for persons of all ages suspected of having developmental or learning disabilities. Other services include integrated preschool classrooms at SIMHS Head Start Centers, and counseling programs for teens, young adults and parents.

Co-chairing the Dinner/Show are Elizabeth Palagiana of Prince's Bay and Paulette Russo of Todt Hill, who have been the Pouch Auxiliary's co-presidents since 2003. Julia Martin
