Gallop therapeutic horseback riding 2nd Annual Cocktail reception

GALLOP therapeutic riding cordially invites you to join them for 2nd Annual Cocktail reception in celebration of Therapeutic riding to people in New York City Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Brooklyn's Historic Montauk Club 25 Eighth Avenue, Brooklyn NY 11215.

Fall Celebration Fundraiser and Volunteer Appreciation Event will take place from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

At 8 pm the event will feature keynote speaker Professor Diane Zager a noted authority on Autism Spectrum conditions. Diane is a professor at Pace University.

Featuring Music and Poetry by students of ICD Y.E.S. “Hard working mustang”

In addition, there will be an open bar of beer, wine, and Hors D'Oeuvres.

GALLOP (Giving Alternative Learners upLifting OPportunties), Inc is a non-profit therapeutic riding center in New York City.

GALLOP use the horse to provide physical, psychological, cognitive and educational therapies that help people who have learning disabilities or are disabled to gain skills and have fun in a safe, supportive and dignified manner, and at all times based on good horsemanship and respect for both people and the animal.



GALLOP currently offers lessons at Kensington Stable in Brooklyn, at the southern tip of Prospect Park. The mission of the program is to provide therapeutic horseback riding to a diverse population, using the horse to provide physical, psychological, cognitive, and education therapies. The benefits of therapeutic will facilitate the growth of functional and mental capacities in a safe, supportive, and dignified manner. GALLOP bases our program on good horsemanship, sound riding principles, and therapeutic riding standards that are approved by the North American Riding for Handicapped Association (NARHA).
