Many of you received an action alert to call Senator Carl Kruger, Chair of Senate Finance Committee, to get the Poll Site Access Bill- S.1058A out of committee and onto the floor for a vote today. Please contact Sen Kruger’s office to urge him to put S.1058A on the agenda for this Wednesday's committee meeting.
Issue: Action Needed in State Senate on the Poll Site Access Bill S.1058A
Action: The poll site access bill S.1058A has moved from the Senate Election Committee to the Finance Committee. There are only two weeks left of session, so we need to get the bill out of committee and on to the floor for a vote NOW!

S1058-A would require that all poll sites comply with the accessibility guidelines of the ADA and would eliminate the practice of granting waivers for inaccessible sites. Your support and immediate action is vital to removing obstacles to full voter participation."
Background: S1058-A would require all poll sites to comply with the accessibility guidelines of the ADA. It would also eliminate the practice of granting waivers for inaccessible sites. Waivers have made it possible for counties to avoid having to make inaccessible sites accessible.
