The Northside Center for Child Development started in 1946 as the Northside Testing and Consultation Center. Northside now provides a full range of therapy, counseling, psycho-educational and other services for children and families. Wheelchair accessible entrance address is:

Northside also has Central Harlem Services 247-249 W. 135th Street(formerly known as Harlem Interfaith Counseling Service), which holds as its focus the enhanced psycho-spiritual functioning of individuals and families. To that end, a strength-based perspective is at the core of the development and implementation of comprehensive mental health services. The combined legacies of both organizations have historically serviced the Greater Harlem community by addressing the psychosocial stressors, which often impact members of communities of color.
