Long Island Riding for the Handicapped Association (LIRHA)
Our mission is to provide therapy on horseback, cost free, to individuals with physical, emotional and/or cognitive disabilities. And to also offer recreation and education with our certified riding instructors and licensed physical therapists. To contribute positively to the well being of our students. We will strive to provide these benefits with compassion, and in an enjoyable environment. We will help our students to see their "ability" not their "disability".

Kensington Stables
Kensington Stables, located near the southwest corner of Brooklyn's beautiful Prospect Park, is New York City's friendliest, most accessible, and most affordable riding stable.
Earlier this year, the 19th century building that Kensington Stables rented and used as a barn was sold to make way a 107-unit condominium complex. The horses were forced into the remaining building, and to make room, the indoor riding ring had to be eliminated. With no indoor riding ring, Kensington Stables lost its program for the disabled.
