Our Time
Our Time is the first organization to use the performing arts to help kids who stutter overcome their fear of speech. Participants learn how to communicate clearly and powerfully, regardless of their fluency, giving them the confidence to speak in any situation. Our Time has two core programs that help kids who stutter:
1. Camp Our Time is a sleep-away camp that welcomes children who stutter, as well as their young family members and friends, ages 8-18, from across the nation and abroad.
2. Our Time NYC is a year-round program that serves children who stutter, ages 5-18, from the New York Tri-State Area.

B.L.I.N.D. Sight Productions
We provide many benefits to our young members. Indeed, planning, preparing and rehearsing for and performing a theatrical production offers a uniquely challenging environment in which lots of learning and growth naturally occurs.
The BSP environment:
Develops performing arts talent through training, workshops, sessions with industry professionals, rehearsals and live performances
Offers a nurturing place where youth can expand their understanding of a diverse world
Improves the ability of visually-impaired and sighted youth to work in integrated teams
Strengthens communication and teaming skills as members collectively overcome project challenges
Fosters individual responsibility and builds self-confidence as each youth is accountable to peers for his/her as well as group performance
The letters B.L.I.N.D. in our organization's name stand for Building Leaders In New Directions. We seek to fulfill this goal in every interaction with our young ...

Only Make Believe
The Only Make Believe program debuted in October 1999 at Rusk Institute's Pediatric Unit, NYU Langone Medical Center, as a project of The James and Dena Hammerstein Foundation. Dena Hammerstein established Only Make Believe in memory of her husband James (son of Oscar Hammerstein), his dedication to the theater, and her own passionate love for children in need. The concept of Only Make Believe developed out of Dena's desire to introduce children living with chronic illnesses and disabilities to the magical world of theater. Since trips to the theater proved to be too overwhelming for many of the children, Dena decided to bring the theater to them, helping to create a unique version of live theater in which each child plays an integral part.
