ICL currently operates eight residential programs in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Manhattan for adults with developmental disabilities. New ICL residential programs are currently in development in Brooklyn and the Bronx. Each residence is staffed 24 hours a day and provides a comprehensive range of clinical and support services to meet the individual needs of our consumers. Each residence and the services provided are designed to create a therapeutic environment in which consumers have the opportunity to maximize his/her potential and maintain physical wellness. Common Ground provides a comprehensive support system designed to help people regain lives of stability and independence. They start by creating communities where housing is safe, attractive and affordable and then add support services, such as access to medical and mental health care, job training, and job placement.

The Accessible Housing Registry contains information about accessible apartments located throughout New York State. Persons with disabilities, as well as their advocates, can search for housing by location (town, zip code, and major cities), and/or by sorting based on income, age, or disability requirements to obtain comprehensive information about housing opportunities that may meet their needs.
Each development presented contains contact information for the site’s owner and property manager. Much of the housing listed is public housing apartments(waiting list closing dates and instructions on how to get on public housing waiting lists are provided)in both NYC and upstate NY State. Some housing developments/projects are listed as having rent assistance, modifications for mobility impairment, and other special features.

Miracle House provides housing, meals, and advocacy to caregivers and patients coming to New York City for critical medical treatment. Miracle House provides an affordable and supportive environment in Midtown Manhattan for those who must travel to New York for medical reasons.

Visitors can stay, on a temporary basis, in a clean, safe, furnished apartment for $50.00 per night, per room. Credit cards, checks, travelers checks, and cash are all accepted. Unlike a hotel, Miracle House is a home away from home. The facility, located in a beautiful high rise residential apartment building, has its own kitchen, dining room, living room, private bathrooms, free internet and computer access, as well as television, air conditioning and 24 hour security. Laundry facilities are conveniently located in the building. Clients have their own private room and bathroom and share the common living areas with other families.
