Freedom House is the first totally accessible shelter for disabled victims of domestic violence. Every part of the facility has been created to accommodate individuals who are mobility impaired, deaf or hard of hearing; blind or visually impaired. The staff has been through intensive training. They have staff fluent in English, Spanish and American Sign Language. They offer some specialized services most other domestic violence shelters don't: a psychiatrist, occupational therapy and a nurse on staff
