In contract with the Metropolitan New York Coordinating Council on Jewish Poverty, the New York City Department for the Aging operates Project Metropair. This program, funded by a grant from the New York City Council, is a home safety and security repair program for individuals over 60 years of age and for people with disabilities. The mission of the Isaac H. Tuttle Fund, as reflected in its Certificate of Incorporation of 1872, is to provide for the temporal and spiritual welfare of aged persons. We provide direct financial support to individuals and to not-for-profit community-based organizations that provide services to seniors in Manhattan, New York. Our goal is to enable older persons to continue living in their own homes so long as they are physically and mentally able to do so.
